本部分为GB/T 2900的第52部分。
本部分修改采用IEC 60050-602: 1983《国际电工词汇 第602部分：发电、输电及配电 发电》，并参考国际电工委员会2003年文件（1/1903/CD），修改了部分术语的定义。
本部分规定了发电、输电及配电领域中有关发电部分的术语。
本部分适用于电力系统的规划、管理、设计、发电、输电及配电等领域。
本部分代替GB/T 2900.52-2000相比主要变化如下：
——修改了术语条目编号；
——602-03-16和602-03-17的中文术语增加“[电力系统]”说明；
——修改了602-01-05、602-02-04等的定义；
——602-02-32[33]、602-03-08[09]、602-03-11[12]、602-03-19[20]、602-03-21[22]、602-03-25[26]分别改为单独的两条；
——602-02-38[39][40]改为单独的三条。
