本标准规定了饮料瓶用聚对苯二甲酸乙二醇酯（PET）瓶坯的产品分类、技术要求、试验方法、检验规则及标志、包装、运输和贮存的要求。
本标准适用于以瓶用PET树酯为主要原料，经注塑加工成型的用于吹制饮料瓶的瓶坯，其他用途的瓶坯可参照执行。
